Sony Santa Monica announced the move to a completely new studio back in January. The new location in Playa Vista is bigger and includes a state-of-the-art recording studio and is close to a new motion capture studio which will also be used by Naughty Dog. At long last the time for the big move has come, and next week Sony Santa Monica won't be in Santa Monica anymore.

Stig Asmussen, the dev famous for his work at Sony Santa Monica on the God of War franchise, has joined forces with the folks at Respawn Entertainment. Studio co-founder Vince Zampella confirmed the news to Polygon, saying that the team is "super excited to have him."
